I have undertaken a writing experiment. A fair while back.
I was to write one article a day. First thing in the morning.
And send it out to select people from my circle.
Every day for a month. Sunday included.
For Sunday writing, I ended up picking something light
Which resulted in a segment titled “10 things you probably didn’t know about me”
The last one from that segment is shared below for reference.
#25 - 10 things that you probably didn’t know about me – Part 4
I have played football only 3 times in my life. All three were during my engineering days and I was the goal keeper in all three. We lost the first match 8-0 and that was the most embarrassing game in my life! :D
I signed up for guitar classes when I was in my secondary school days. I attended classes for about a year (bunked a lot of classes in that one year)
My first bicycle was an Atlas ATB. I got it using my pocket money and this happened sometime when I was in my 7th. Probably one of my first big purchase with my own money.
The first casualty of my indoor home cricket antics was our fish tank in Calicut. It was a nice flick of the wrists to the leg side and it flew straight to the middle of the fish tank!
I used NDA medicals as an excuse to not write the model exam before the 12th boards. I was actually loitering around in my hostel itself :D
One of my favourite movie lines (thought) is from the Batman move Dark Knight - “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to be a villain”
I have seen all Akkarakazhchakal episodes multiple times. It’s one my default break time activities these days to watch an episode of Akkarakazchakal. Few months back, it used to be an episode of Big Bang Theory before I went to sleep. (And yes, I have watched almost all Big Bang Theory episodes multiple times as well)
Among sports and games, cricket is my first love. I developed a keen interest in cricket in my primary school days itself. For example while in 3rd standard, I would get up at 3am in the morning, watch the India Australia match in Australia, record it and watch it again later. There was a time when I used to maintain all the cricket scores in a book of mine
I still have with me my first tooth that was removed
My favourite board games when I was young used to be Game of Life & Scotland Yard. I think my liking for both games was disproportionately higher that the time I’ve spend playing it.
It turned out to be a lot of fun. With people also writing back with their scores on 10 :)
